Our Story

Looking Ahead Pediatric Physical Therapy was founded in 2014 by Andrea Callanen, PT, MPT with a mission to educate the community on the importance of early identification and addressing the underlying cause for head shape asymmetry so little ones can avoid the need of a helmet while also ensuring the development of symmetrical early motor skills. Our team has grown to include pediatric speech/infant feeding therapy and we proudly serve patients throughout the Greater Nashville Community and world wide with the help of Social Media.

We are committed to providing families with exceptional care and empowering families with the tools and knowledge to help their little ones meet their goals.

We know that the amount of information from the Internet and Social Media can be overwhelming and misleading and that is why we are dedicated to educating our parents so they understand the WHY and the HOW behind our treatment sessions.

Staffing (Licensure):

All clinicians at Looking Ahead Pediatric Physical Therapy are licensed in the state of Tennessee as a physical therapist (PT) or Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), which requires licensure through the state of Tennessee Department of Health, Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and Board of Speech-Language-Hearing. PTs and SLPs are required to renew their licensure every two years, including completion of continuing education hours.
